What is it going to take to build out Journey.
not money
We need testers, designers, developers and yes, true fans.
Some investment money would help, as would general business development input.
What we are after
We are after people to support us and want to use us for what we are developing Journey for.
What is Journey about
- We want to use Journey to interconnect the generations,
- to get us out in to the big blue room,
- to help travellers connect with families,
- to help people engage discipleship through shared walks with Jesus.
We want to help single people traveling from place to place looking for people to connect with. To help families that want to engage these traveller's.
And more than this, we want to build a platform to help intentional groups and organizations that want to provide a more structured place for tavellers to swap work for board. Hidden in Journey is also the idea of helping these travellers maybe they become students and then even staff.
Moving beyond mere travellers, Journey can help people connect more with their calling in Jesus, engaging with schools, ministries, works of compassion, training, kingdom building, discipleship, community development in any country they may find them selves in.
With Journey you have travelers as Kōkua, you have local people as Kōkua, you have families that want to have an Ohana, farms as Ohana, a school, a discussion group, a home group, a campus, and then an Orginisation that is a Hui in Journey. A Hui has access to tools to better manage their day to day activities of transportation, maintenance, a post office, a Library. Well there are quite a few different areas we want to help Orginisations manage.

Wait there is more.
Having worked with travellers, students, new followers of Jesus, older followers of Jesus, a lot ofinformation has come my way. I have heard many stroies of how people did not feel connected as they travelled, or where students some where. I have also talked with staff, at a more oginisated location, that did not have tools to better recuit new students or be able to provide follow up of previous students.
I have talked with travellers and students that they have found it hard to do things as they had no access to transporatation.
From one of these students the whole idea of sharing came in to being.
Sharing and booking a seat
This idea is someone has an Ohana.
They offer an event, say it is a trip to the beach. People that belong to this Ohana can book a seat in the car going to the beach.
Or the event is a pot luck, maybe with unlimited seats, but the Ohana would like to know numbers.
What about a movie night, but the couch only seats five. Extras have to sit on the floor.
When some one goes in to Journey the Dashbaord is available for many different activities, from Announcments to Timebank. Sharing is part of the Dashbaord and people can see any events from any of the Ohana they belong to. Kokua can also create events in any Ohana they belong to.
