What do you want a Database to do?
We want to make the Kokua Framework work for you.
It will only be as good at the Information you put in.
It is up to us then to make sure it is easy to put information in and get information out.
Information In
Here are some examples of the Kinds of Information that could go into a Kokua FrameWork.
Customers/Leads
A Lead or a Customer enters the database in the same way. They will have a designation, if someone is not already a customer they are a lead.
Do you want them to be able to log in so they can see their sales, especially around maintenance and warranties?
Customers
What do you want to store about your customers?

Products
The Things you sell.
Do you want a family of products?
Do you want bundles?
Sale
This is not an accounting system. This is a customer care system. However, there can be sales information in here. Serial numbers, dates, follow up.
However, do you stamp your products with a serial number?
Do you want maintenance goals on what you sell?
Information Out
Reports
You will want to generate reports from your information.
- Address Lists of Customers
- Phone Numbers of Leads
- History of sales
Automatic Reports
You may want automatic reports to you as an email, that goes a list of customer that are due to buy something, oil to keep their outdoor furniture in the best condition, and extended warranty coming to its end, service on a sewing machine is due (free or to be paid for).
Emails
These emails may be to the customer to remind them to do something. They may be generated by you, or they may be automatic, sent over night.
